How is anyone supposed to play here with any semblance of roleplay?
A single shift I try to talk to a criminal about their repeated thefts of a ripley while inside Perma.
The same players and AI constantly harassing me while telling blatant lies.
Info:
Grace gets arrested for a third time.
Sec asks me what to do and I say tracker and release, it's petty theft and they're not fighting back.
Come back alter, Grace is in perma.
Told they removed their tracker (they didnt)
Calmly talk to QM and HoP asking if we can consider lowering the sentence.
Bring the ripley in to show it "may" be considered contraband, but not that it IS contraband.
Try to calmly talk to Sec/QM/HoP
AI is blatantly lying saying I'm trying to pardon Grace and steal Cargo's ripley.
While still discussing, multiple people come in with faxes from CentComm saying I am not allowed to pardon Grace (Which I never tried to do and said multiple times I am not looking to do).
While trying to read the letter they made me read, tincan stole the ripley QM gave to me and ran off with it.
I shoot him to stop him because he's not interested in listening.
Key points:
- I never wanted to pardon Grace, but they served a lot of time and I felt a reduced sentence was warranted.
- I had no plans to do so without a consensus by the group.
- I wanted to roleplay out someone clearly obsessed with riding in a mech, and giving them that mech to be nice.
- Specifically, building them a separate one, not taking QMs which I called out multiple times.
- I did not suggest pardoning, I suggested a commuted sentence (Reduced, but previous charges apply).
- This was all done within spacelaw and roleplay.
In the end, I get AI and Sec actively lying to CentComm, stealing my mech, arresting me and demoting me without consent from CentComm, all because I tried to roleplay out talking about potentially lowering someones criminal sentence and possibly also giving them a mech.
They're telling Centcomm I'm trying to pardon a criminal and give them a free mech when I'm actively acting as Captain in the interest of my crew.
It's anti RP to full on have multiple sec members flip their shit over trying to calmly talk about potentially giving some forgiveness to a clear non-violent criminal.
And to what benefit? For Sec to do nothing because they already took out all the antags before the first hour of the shift started?
Then after this, people complain they're bored and call evac.
