Character Question of the Day!

sal

Even though Sal didn't have the best childhood, growing up in the Blood Cult and all... They have fond memories of their mother. The two of them would find a nook away from the cultists and their mother would tell her stories about the outside world. Places off their little planet. Places that had warmth, love, and joy. It's why Sal kept hopeful about an eventual escape to see the rest of the world and experience what it has to offer...

Though, they got stuck at NT instead.

Leo

Q1: Clark used to have fun BBQing and making steaks with fries and such. After he was forced to take a break from his usual jobs he tried cooking for therapeutic purposes and found that he really enjoys baking.

Q2: He had a dog in his 20s, it died from old age and Clark never really got past it.

Q3: Clark grew up in agricultural worlds and stations. The smell of the earth and the dew of the crops are his fondest memories of home. He used to ride horses too.

Jeepers

QUESTION #1: Does your character(s) like to cook, bake, etc.? Are they good at it, and if not, do they want to learn? What are their favorite things to make?

A: Jeepers isn't very good at cooking or baking! She often doesn't have time to cook for herself and will forget to eat until she gets really hungry. Ordering out and buying prepared food is much easier for her! She can cook some basic meals like pastas and some meats. Her favorite meal to cook for herself is a tater tot hot dish!

Question 2: Does your character have any pets at home? If so, tell me about them! If not, what would your character have as a pet? What would they name it?

A: Jeepers has her very own Ian at home!! As you could imagine, Jeepers spends a lot of time with Ian (and a lot of her money!) The two are inseparable and hanging out with Jeepers at her apartment is hanging out with both of them!! Her whole apartment is corgi friendly :-)

QUESTION 3: Do your characters have any fond old memories from their youth, before they started working for NT? Back on their home planet, etc.

A: Jeepers remembers several of her old friends from before NT fondly, and is still in contact with some. She spent a long time talking with them over radio and text interfaces so one of her fondest memories was bumping into one in person at a space port prior to her employment at NT. She thought she would never see them again so it was overwhelming when she realized they had made it off planet too! They still write to each other!

q3: despite how rough his childhood could be at times Atlas loved when he got to just spend time with his brother . Atlas looked up to him a lot I think and he was a big source of comfort when other kids were cruel ... there was also a park near their home that he loved going to i think

Fay got sent to Nanotrasen at a very young age, they don't exactly HAVE very many memories of off station life.

The Slimeweaver conglomerate originated as a singular moth person, Scarlet Lightweaver, who was born and put up for adoption immediately by her parents. Although she does not know it, her parents were not well off enough on the moth home world to raise a child. Scarlet was raised by Nanotrasen and put through multiple rigorous courses in their adoption program and was tasked with manning stations in their colonization program. Due to the accident and splitting of personalities, the past is somewhat of a blur. The one sole memory Slimeweavers have is the beaming face of their mother at childbirth.

mike grew up with a criminal anti-sec dad and a busy over worked mom so good memories are few and far between as a matter of fact his best Memorie is of him leaving home at 18 to join NT as a cadet

Q2: Kip does not have any pets and neither does his siblings! Secretly, he’d always wanted a big cat that he can ride on when he gets too embarrassed about asking his siblings for uppies.

Q3: Yes. Yes. So much. Kip’s every waking moment is almost all occupied by memories of his home. He mostly dreams of blue clear skies and tall grass fields, where he and his family used to sing and dance and play in. He’s becoming fond of even some of the memories that he disliked, like the crowded market place or the cold and decrepit sewers. You really don’t know how good something is until it’s gone, I guess

Kalli Marwan misses his family dearly, he used to write to them often. His nomadic lifestyle has led him to be far from his home world. He remembers fond memories of his garden back at home where he would grow his favorite fruits to eat. Those fruits are what he misses the most as they don’t grow anywhere besides there. His other fond memories include him working at a giant planet sized greenhouse that specialized in growing exotic plants for different forms of consumption.

marin's fondest memory was his high school's prom, surprisingly. he started a whole dance squad on the floor that went on for two hours straight. he wasn't named prom king or anything, but he had never had so much fun with his schoolmates before.

sydney's fondest memory was being accepted into medical school, no doubt. she was a bit young but she had a good head on her shoulders and managed a full ride scholarship. she definitely thinks it paid off.

urist's fondest memory... his fondest memory was... it... did he even exist before the syndicate..?

Q4: Lokis likes all genres! However Lokis favorite song is just the chocobo theme from the final fantasy series.

Fay like primarily enjoys Pop! They uh don't have much of a reason outside of that's mostly what plays over the radio and jukebox. They are also quite fond of those space backstreet boys...

marin loves anything and everything. he really is that guy that will listen to any song, including potato knishes by ratboygenius. he does not care.

sydney loves metal, rock, and classics. she usually always has a ghost playlist running.

urist is a very dad rock type of guy.

mike enjoys a very wide variety of music of all bands and types however if he had to choose a favorite, he would easily choose pop as his favorite song is everybody wants to rule the world

Marwan is a big fan of Indie pop and Ska. His two favorite bands currently are Pepper and TV Girl.

He doesn’t listen to music often as he gets way too emotional over it.

I imagine Atlas would be really into rock type stuff but can enjoy basicallly anything while JUNO I imagine would be into really loud energetic noisy stuff the like breakcore edm hyperpop type ,, and shes less flexible with it

A: Yes, she had a calico cat named Cashew, but currently she has none, but thinks of getting a (second, if you count her roommate Sal) cat!

Yeah, she actually does! Before her family turned her into a pariah and she had to move out, she loved knitting and chatting with her grandma about childhood stories. But she yearns for a new family, and is doing her best to find one

Oh absolutely, Clara's musical tastes are really democratic, she listens to everything from Bubblegum pop to classical music, with most of her weird tastes being attributed to her condition. Talking with her often reveals absurdly hidden musical tastes, that often surprise most people.

Q4: As you'd expect, Clark has a fondness for folk and older country music. He is also an avid acoustic guitar player.
Real music he'd listen to:
Jose Gonzalez.
The Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack, especially the tracks Red. That's The Way It Is. Table Top and Mountain Banjo.
Low-key he'd listen to Kiltro and really enjoy it.
Anything and everything by Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash
Honestly i think he'd rock some Queens of The Stone Age every once in a while

Q5: Sadly for Loki this is more information that he's uncomfortable with others sharing. However i'll just say that Hydrus isn't his ACTUAL last name.

As embarrassing at it may be for Fay to say, Mint Chip has been someone they look up to heavily.

Kalli for marin, he admires his dad a lot! his dad was also a single father and worked double shifts at ntr, which marin picked up in response in a desire to be more like his pops.

sydney admires clara bloise, like, a lot. clara is the epitome of "knows what she's doing" (at least sydney thinks so) and she wants to be just like her.

urist admired his old boss, oddly enough; he was a surprisingly gentle man and wouldn't let him go out on missions where he had a high chance of getting hurt, especially when he was younger. now, though, he seeks to other captain roles for guidance.

Q5:

Rupert once had a cousin. They used to be best cousins even though his cousin was pretty competent and too focused on his department.

Rupert didn't care a lot about that and even considered his brother.
Unfortunately, his cousin didn't return from a shift and was notified that the cloning was proved to be a failure.

Currently Rupert has no one that he looks up to.
