Reason for Ban: "Valid hunting after being warned within the same round to stop the behavior. Has a history of this behavior. Was respectful in ahelps."
What led up to the ban: Playing as Grace Cox (Musician), I started the round by asking for externals (he gave me an EVA suit instead), and then proceeding to build the musician's hardsuit. Shortly before it was built, though, I went into maintenance to search for oxygen to fill my mini jetpack with and found a heretic circle in southeastern maints. I expressly did NOT call it out, instead using the information to convince Chadley, atmos tech, to give me insulated gloves.
After I build the hardsuit and actually acquire externals, I find and travel along with the salvage team, Virgil and a cyborg, to acquire space organs. During my time out, the heretic was discovered by the rest of the station and the alert level is put to red. I arrive back on station with space organs in tow and move myself directly to medical to give myself space immunity/no breathing. I spend some time circling the station afterwards, finding things to loot like the mapped centcomm gas mask. Eventually, I find HOS/the captain chasing Felix, the heretic, around in space. I use my jetpack to travel along him without intent to harm him (he has a blade and will kill me), mostly looking to witness the fight.
I'm bwoinked directly after this with an admin telling me not to valid hunt. I explain that I wasn't trying to valid hunt and had no intent to harm the heretic, but I'm not believed and the warn sticks. I maintain I wasn't trying to valid hunt the heretic at any point during this shift.
After the fight, I find the remains of a deceased bartender (thief) in a heretic circle, and stick around to see if there's anything interesting to loot. The Captain, who's also there when I arrive, notes that I have a centcomm gas mask. I'm able to leave without him arresting me, but this does follow into the HOS/command technically chasing me around for a half-hour, culminating in me falling asleep outside the bridge and the captain cuffing me.
After i'm out of jail, I continue to roam outside of the station, circling it many times. Among the interesting things that happen, the only event of relative note is that I end up getting the HOS killed by opening a salvage shuttle full of carp and slimes (He couldn't shoot because he was a clown before he got promoted into HOS). After the HOS got killed, I entered the salvage shuttle and picked up a PKA off of the salvage shuttle for no particular reason - there were no known threats, I just thought it a waste not to pick it up.
During my time circling the station, roughly 4 minutes before the evacuation shuttle arrives, I find Chadley and AD (a syndicate agent roboticist tasked with killing Chadley) near the edge of the station. I ignore them at first to try to find a shiny bow that was thrown into space, but after I fail to find it and return, I find Chadley thrown into space, dying. I begin dragging him back, but not before I notice AD holding a syndicate jaws of life. I step around for a bit, and after AD exits into space to try to chase me, I drag Chadley onto the station in an attempt to save him. AD gets back on and begins hitting me with their jaws of life, at which point I begin attempting to hit them back, not wanting them to have extended access to Chadley's body. I end up using my PKA to bring AD to critical, after which evacuation arrives and I get Chadley medical assistance. Evacuation leaves and arrives to centcomm without much issue.
I'm bwoinked after this interaction for similar behavior to what I was previously warned for - valid hunting. After the round, I'm game banned for 5 days.
Why you should be unbanned: I want someone to review the round in full. I don't agree that I was valid hunting this shift, though I could see accusations of power gaming having merit (Musicians shouldn't hold onto PKAs, this is true). From my point of view, my interactions with the heretic were harmless, and my attempts to save Chadley were one of the only logical things to do - I can't allow a crew member to die in front of me, after all. That I didn't call security over instead of fight over it myself was a matter of immediate urgency to try to save Chadley from continued harm or potential round removal.
