TLDR Currently silicons define crew in the rulebook very vaguely and I feel like it could lead to issues later on down the line where people are able to rules lawyer silicons into doing things they are not supposed to do.
Silicon rulesets defined by the rule page reads "Any person with a valid ID matching their identity counts as crew, as does anybody present on the crew manifest. This does still include zombies, changelings, and traitors"
This means that persons that do not have an ID that matches their identity and are not on the manifestt do not count as crew, as, for example, a nuclear operative with a captain ID would not be defined as crew and could be freely killed and harmed as a borg, as could a ninja with an ID that has a false name that the borg hears talk or otherwise is able to tell the identity of, as well as, for example, a traitor with a voice mask that does not match their voice with their ID. This could arguably make silicons able to commit harm in these contexts, and IMO would just be a massive headache for admins and players alike to justify or determine what it means.
In my opinion crew should just be handled like wizden does it with the HUD displaying as crew, though some have also brought up that silicons having access to the crew manifest could also help with determining crew status or not.
I'm doing this before it becomes a problem for players and admins, and think the simplest solution is best. If you have anything else to add or contribute to this conversation feel free to add a reply below.
