TLDR Giving the Rogue Transcendent the ability to, upon death, be butchered for an UN-REMOVABLE, POWERFUL and VERY SIMPLE TO ACTIVATE ability (with the black hole) should be questioned, as it very easily leads to and encourages heavy powergaming and validhunting for the funny squid in order to become superpowered, as well as implications with security giving extended or permanent sentences as a result of this due to it's nature of being contraband and basically unremovable outside of cloning.
If you get the transcendent drop and eat it, there is literally nothing short of killing and cloning you that security can do to remove it. I have seen this in cases where security keeps the lucky tider who managed to steal the drops in permanent confinement (RIP Eats-The-Crew) as they try to figure out what to do, which is not a good sense for game balance or for general enjoyment for any party involved.
Alongside this, the organ's definition as class X contraband means that almost everything relating to the drop is a nightmare to deal with if security does not immediately take it and throw it into the armory contraband crate, which begs the question of it's inclusion in the game altogether if no-one is going to use it.
Rogue Transcendent in general right now is supposedly going through reworks and balancing and, while cool as FUCK, I think this is a very important thing to consider regarding the issues that can arise after it's death.
I think the easiest solution, as discussed with correspond, is to make the actual benefit from the organ not tied into eating it, but into being entirely implanted and tied to an organ (such as with the goliath heart currently), my idea is to make the organ tied to the liver, and, in doing so, making holy water cause poison damage upon metabolizing. This would make the actual benefits from the organ harder to achieve, and therefore cause less of a rush by every person or antag on the station to acquire- as well as making the person who the organ is implanted into much more vulnerable to being converted into the cosmic cult, as well as harder to deconvert without permanently killing them- this would make a bigger tradeoff for having the black hole ability and could also be included with additional drawbacks.
Alongside this, I believe that the contraband nature of the organ should be removed or reworded to simply allow security to handle it and the powers begotten therein as best they feel - if security even wishes to deal with it at all, rather than have the implication that it is a crime to utilize.
As Rogue Transcendent is being reworked right now, I am unsure how to best implement these changes, but I feel as though they should at least be brought up.
