Reason for Complaint: Hey, I'd like to report the above mentioned admin for an extremely heavy-handed punishment, or outright using incorrect information to rule on a punishment.

Me and aCalicoDragon are friends and often play together on Funky, while sitting muted in calls - like I have seen many people do even on the server voice channels - and found one another in game. She wanted to be a clown and I saw an extra clown suit, so I let her. We both went to hop for her to get an ID changed and did a bit of tomfoolery that is evident now was taken a bit too far. The admin told aCalicoDragon to return the hop's ID that we hid in a carp plushie (which I believe the HoP didn't have much issue with as they even roleplayed it out after aCalicoDragon returned it).

I followed up with the admin, asking for rules clarification since I obviously don't want to get banned. They somehow ruled aCalicoDragon sharing OUT OF GAME INFO with me over Discord as metacomming. Again, no in game information was shared over Discord. I was only let know about the rule breaking. The admin said "they didn't see that was communicated in game" but I don't see how you could communicate an ahelp in game anyway. Whether or not it was communicated LOOC or over Discord really doesn't matter. And the admin states the "metacomming was used for antag behaviour" which is untrue. We were both at the hop, and stole the hop's ID together without sharing any in game information whatsoever.

The primary reason for me contacting them over ahelp was for rule clarification, as I've literally been killed by non-antags before for no reason and it has been ruled as an "IC issue" and I didn't see how this was any different. It evidently is different, so I'll be more cautious about taking IDs as non-antag in the future, but the punishment was laid out because of "metacoms used in antag behaviour" which I simply don't understand how that conclusion was reached over me wanting a rules clarification? I don't think the hop losing their SPARE ID for 30 mins - which they didn't complain about in the slightest LOOC and roleplayed out - justifies a 3 day ban for 2 the 2 people involved in the incident.

Hii! I'll be the one handling this complaint

I am going to be clarifying a few things that I am seeing you've misunderstood.
First of all, Metacomming is generally communicating to other players while the game is on going while being in game, especially with things that has happened in the round. Out of character or not. As you've never really communicated about it in game and as you've admitted in the ahelps, you were informed by your friend by a possible ban in a different platform we can't moderate. That's what made it Meta-Communications.

As for the ban itself, stealing the Head of Personnel's ID IS in the grounds of self-antag as you two were NOT antagonists. The HoP's ID is basically AA without other command access and really important.

The banning admin, while ahelping your friend, was confused you suddenly brought it up when there were no prior communications between you in game, not even in LOOC, which confirmed the meta-communications happening between the two of you as the round is going as you explained that your friend contacted you via discord. Which then lead to your ban.

We strictly forbid Meta-Communications as we have no means of moderating them whatsoever. The reason why "being in a vc while muted" is tolerated because there's usually a community moderator or admin to make sure there actually is no metacomming happening.

For two first offenses, especially for self antagging and meta-communications, a 3day game ban is in line to our banning policy and pretty lenient already.
