Reason for Ban: Power gaming valid hunting

What lead up to the ban: There was a "clown virus" and lots of people screaming about it, cargo getting locked down to contain, so I made napalm to help contain it (thought it was station ending). Left medbay, ran into a guy who I thought had the virus run around really fast shocking people and I asked if I should burn them. Someone who I thought was the NTR said yes (turned out it was just a station engineer with the same last name). Lost the guy, few minutes past by found him again with everyone else, asked again if I should burn, got reconfirmation and burnt him. Then got banned

Why you should be unbanned: Didn't know clown virus wasn't station ending. I just saw the scary code blue thing and figured it was gonna be bad. There's a lot of events on this server I'm not familiar with like cosmic cult, blob, etc and it's hard for me to determine which is really bad, and which is something to let sec deal with alone. Also I legitimately thought the NTR gave me permission to shoot, and while she was there (Sarah Eclair) it was a station engineer with the same last name (Naps Eclair?). They also both dressed in fancy suits which also made it more confusing. I think A) a misunderstanding in which of these nonstandard station events is stationending vs a minor one and B) two people with similar names and one of them has authority and other doesn't shouldn't merit a ban this long

Hello! I'll be handling your appeal.

After reviewing the ahelp, round review, logs, as well as a discussion with other admins, your appeal is going to be denied. As a chemist you are freely allowed to experiment with chemicals within your department; however, you should not be using these to make weapons as a non-antagonist when there is no station destroying threat nor should you be using them to hunt people down. This is also your second case of powergaming within a short period of time.

I implore you to please try and be more mindful about what you're up to so that you do not end up powergaming once more. Remember that if you're worried about something that may get you in trouble, you can always ahelp it.

The issue is I didn't know the "clown virus" wasn't station threatening. There was so much chaos including on the radio that I thought we were all gonna die if we didn't all do something. Thought the guy slipping and shocking people was part of it.

Since this server has many unique events that I've never seen on others, including blob and cosmic cult (which I have a record of me being a very clueless cult leader), can you list all events that are considered station threatening, and all the events that aren't but actually exist and are not just people trolling on the radio? That way I can avoid powergaming in the future? Sometimes the admins aren't responsive enough in some situations where I think the safest way to avoid powergaming is to let a zombie eat my face, or deathsquad gun me down because I'm too scared of the reprecussions if I armed myself
