I’m working on adding some new content to botany although I figured I’d outsource to gather some more ideas, feedback, and suggestions on the current state of botany since we’ve got some extremely experienced botanists in the community and it never hurts to hear new ideas.
Currently the plan is to add some plants as rare loot from salvage and new content similar to salvage (requiring a t3 experimental research or luck). These will contain rarer regents, including a couple of new ones, and are going to have unique and powerful effects since you won’t encounter them every round and you might run into issues obtaining them.
While I’m working on that I can add more mutations or round start/exotic plants if anyone has any good suggestions.
I’m also looking into adding a new tier 3 civilian research to aid with splicing (it probably won’t be as strong as ss13) which should also help teach newer botanists about the mutation system and encourage experimentation in very long rounds, but this isn’t set in stone.
