Reason for Ban: Burgering someone, having 8844 in name? and having an army of monkey's one of which was called Captain Darwin

What lead up to the ban: I burgered someone and apparently that's not allowed to be performed as a kill method as syndie.

Why you should be unbanned: A warning would've sufficed, a perm seems way excessive. And I keep hearing 8844 being called as hate speech. Yall really pushing that, I've been using those numbers for like 10 years and I haven't heard of it being considered hate until playing SS14 starting a month ago. Even explained it to Oberry a few times and he was OK with it. And I never called myself Captain Darwin, that was literally the monkey I omnizined like 2-3 weeks ago. Regardless, that's not racist, and you can't say that I have "racist behavior that won't change" based off a ban from one of the most banhappy servers in SS14, and something a monkey did and not me that I have trouble wrapping my head around as racist.

We have reviewed your ban appeal and have determined after considerable discussion and review to uphold the ban with 12 of the participating admins voting in favor of the ban remaining in effect and 0 voting for a rescindment of the ban.
The discussion focused on the nature and severity of the offenses, and the overall history of the behavior in question on this and other servers.
You may appeal this ban again in one months time.

Did the discussions include proper clarifications of the details that occurred prior? Like how in the monkey incident I did not refer to myself as darwin the but cog'd monkey did? Or that I did not understand proper game mechanics of some of the events that occurred prior (like smashing through mail penalized station funds)? I feel this decision was made based on inaccuracies and biased details. If you look at some of the other rounds I played I do rp really well and made some memorable moments like the court trial for killing the CE.

Also I dont see how it's fair that actions made on another server a month ago should factor into something on this server when I've done nothing similar (no, my monkey referring to himself as Captain Darwin of the Ape Guardsman isn't racist nor is it my fault he faxed centcom papers with his name on it).

I want to note that your ban is not unappealable, and that you can explicitly re-appeal the ban in 1 month. That being said, I will provide what elaboration I can on the decision process that took place and which ultimately led to the rejection of your appeal.
We take into account information given to us by other servers because it establishes a pattern of behavior. In this case the established pattern of behavior on multiple servers (including funky) was unanimously agreed upon to be innapropriate and not the type of behaviors or interactions that should be happening here.
One of the major issues we discussed was not an inability to role play on your part, but specifically the roles you choose to play and how you choose to play them. There may be rounds where you play well, role play well, and create an atmosphere that others can appreciate in a positive way. However, the frequency and consistency with which you create negative and innapropriate atmospheres is a major issue that played heavily into our decision.
The decision to uphold your ban was unanimous among those who participated, and the ban will remain in effect.
