Reason for Ban: Second command incompetence.
What lead up to the ban: I was playing as the HoP as it was an open command role and it's quite chill usually messing with paperwork. I must admit, what I did wasn't perfect and was quite stupid but HoP usually mess around to a small extend. Some guy wanted a headset and I thought for a bit of tomfoolery I could just give him sec and med comms too saying "Did you say you are a brigmedic". Not the wisest idea but you know, round was ending but I didn't hear it recall.
The last HoP by the way gave the janitor AA apparently which is somehow a much bigger offense in my opinion since sure he can clean the station but giving a random crewman the ability to access the entire station is quite dangerous.
Apparently captain gave away departmental accesses which is iffy but less of an issue. Not sure if they had brig access or not.
Gtheglorious bwoinks me what I'm doing before I even gave them the comms and asked what I'm doing. I said I was giving comms and gave my reasoning. It wasn't the smartest choice but they go on to say I shouldn't break SOP (nothing in the SOP states different comms can't be given to crew) and then messages me to say I got a 13 day roleban for something extremely small. Sure it was a dumb mistake but no warning or anything highlighting that it was a bad idea.
Why you should be unbanned:
Given how much other command members slip up and do some tomfoolery of their own and I get whacked with a heavier ban with such a minor action, it felt awfully strange and unjustified. I think the degree on how long I got my roleban is the biggest concern.
No warning or anything. It feels a little targeted. I feel at most it should of been an admin note. Not a 13 day roleban from all of command AND security.
