So yesterday I came in contact with a Head of security that claimed that me (a tider) having a jaws of life is contraband because the jaws of life are depatmentally restricted. Examining the jaws to see if they are restricted gear does not say they are restricted to any department like it does for other items such as engi goggles. The HoS claims that the wiki says that they are restricted to engineering. I was not able to find where that is written in the wiki but I assume its true.
This whole thing kinda made me curious, if a law/rule is present in the wiki but not present in anything IN the actual game does it count? Should it be enforced? I feel like things like laws and rules should be ALL accessible to the player in game if they are to be applied. Using out of game sources like the wiki not only makes it more difficult for people to access and learn that information but also makes it rather difficult to confirm in game.
If an admin or mod can give me an answer on this question id really appreciate it.
Also, what do yall think about this? Should all rules and laws be kept in game or is relying on out of game sources ok? Just curious to see what people think.
