Generally speaking I find this a gray area and was encouraged to appeal it for the discussion. After an hour of shift, I had all the materials I needed to set up and do my thing. Then, while I'm in sci, bugging the scientists for it, my PDA disappears. Since this holds my uplink, it immediately shuts down my plan. I start causing a bit of a stink over it and when I get zero answers, I start giving ultimatums as I get armor and weapons from the ATS. I show up to sci with an unstable and unreasonable attitude and security demands I drop the gun. By this point, the gloves are off, so when they start making a countdown I just shoot first since the alternative is be arrested and get nowhere.
From here, as far as I know, I'm at best arrest on sight, at worst KOS, and I'm on a timer for whenever the rest of security shows up to beat me down. I start immediately making demands at sci and when people tell me no, how can I believe them? One of the scientists WAS a thief. So yeah I shot everyone that said they didn't have it, because a threat you don't follow on doesn't really have weight. I probably could have done warning shots or just grazed people, but at that point I wasn't thinking straight. When the Captain shows up, no scientists are left, I was never out to RR people anyways, so I tossed all my gear and that was about it.
I didn't RR anybody and I made clear demands. Not long after I put myself in the brig, I was told my ID showed up at sec. Dunno how it happened, I didn't ask, but apparently what I did got the result I was after (admin intervention?) If you make demands, show up with a gun, and are forced to get violent (alternative is arrest), where is the line to cross for irresponsibility? I was NOT thinking straight after my clash with security.
