Multiple instances of blatant favoritism and exclusion of other players primarily on Scarlet.
Uses handheld radios to have a unique channel to "gossip" about people on. Builds things and spends upwards of 30+ minutes together with the group. Gets frustrated in chats whenever the way in which the group communicates or interacts gets messed with.
Makes their distain for players that their group does not like very vocal.
What lead up to the ban: No warning, just banned.
Why you should be unbanned: This all just seems off. Favoritism through forming friend groups is inevitable on a small server as Scarlet, and friend groups will form in small populations regardless. Getting close to somebody in a small server will happen no matter what purely because one character will see and recognize the other, eventually be curious and try to know one another... right (please tell me making friends is normal)? Even then if the concern is for the gameplay and not the roleplay, being friends with a character has never stopped me (Netzach) from attempting to be an antagonist on said friends when they're a target. If anything it made me slightly excited but never stopped me regardless. As for exclusion, I reeaaally don't think I've shoved people away at all. Besides, shoving people away is just... shit for roleplay, and terrible in general.
The "Uses handheld radios" section I understand purely because it was poorly explained in character. Very, very poorly explained. Saying we "gossip" was really a spur of the moment bit of improv that wasn't meant to be taken as serious matter of fact. We have never used it to gossip about other, rather, just used it to keep in contact and just have a person to chat with when isolated to ourselves. Loneliness sucks y'know? Spending 30+ minutes with a friend was usually because of Netzach being concerned or trying to care for said friend. Even then, I'm certain I at least attempt to split off to check in with the rest of the station's population in one way or another by either submitting to my paranoid doctor senses to look at the crew monitor, hand-held and console, or by outright asking on the common radios if everyone's doing well. I want to say I also keep an eye (ear?) out for when people call out that they need help in the med bay since I'm almost always a chemist. As for frustration when the group is messed with... I honestly don't recall being frustrated when bugged, interrupted, asked for help and assistance, but I'm sure I try to be inclusive to others when possible.
For bad RP... I have no fucking idea how to argue that but that just feels super wrong and incorrect. I don't fully know what bad RP even means. Am I supposed to be apathetic to people and just not care about other characters? Just be "fella that makes chems and gets drunk?" I'm confused about the bad RP reason. I wanna say I've been roleplaying decently well and being a believable character that tries to help people but doesn't fully know how to, trying to offer what ever support they can to everyone the recognize as hurt in some way.
As for distain for a player, honestly yeah I see that one and won't argue that because I know exactly who I got mad at. Smegy was an asshole and I still stand by that, so if I'm banned for that I'm fine. Am i gonna attack them if or when I see them? God no. I'll call 'em out on their shit if they're doing stuff that's not cool though the same as I'd call out anyone else. Endangering people by flinging anomalies into public spaces, making uncalled for "jokes." Everything else just seems off that it's suddenly a problem when it likely wasn't, or at least wasn't a problem until very recently.
*sighs. I'm just confused about most of the ban really. Almost feels like I'm banned for caring about people, and that just seems off. If it means anything, the friend group Netzach was part of was formed in Funky (Scarlet). I'm willing to accept however long I'm supposed to be banned for though, but the ban and ban reasoning just feels off. Genuinely hope the folks reading this are having a good day though.
