Warning type: Metagaming
Round ID: #7487, on Cirno
Shortly after becoming Acting RD as a Roboticist, I was chilling in the office when one of the scientists spoke up about setting up a Flatpacker... while they were wearing a voice mask that hadn't been setup, resulting in their name showing up as "Unknown" on the radio. I didn't actually notice until the NTR spoke up about it, so when I headed to the front of science to confront them I only managed to catch them taking off a mask. Told them to stay put while Security searched them, and instead they bolted to disposals.
Some time later, they got cleared by Security (somehow) and came back to science; at this point I was back to just being a Roboticist, so I just sat in robotics waiting for orders until I had to go out to eat and drink. Then I saw a fire locker, which was only a stone's throw away from science, open, with a pair of black gloves in them... for some reason. Right next to a disposal bin, too, so if someone was trying to trash the gloves they did a poor job of it.
A bit paranoid and suspicious after the weird voice changing incident, I went over to Security to get it checked; Detective did check it, found mysterious fibers on it, apparently; I was admittedly SSD for a bit so I only caught wind of their discussion about "metagaming" and the fibers in LOOC. Didn't even know or think it was a pair of chameleon gloves, I just wanted to see if there were prints and who they were, both IC and OOC, because fire lockers don't spawn with gloves and I was rightfully suspicious after literally hearing first-hand a voice modulator and seeing a guy who shouldn't have anything to worry about run away from Security anyway.
Despite this, Security considered it metagaming and discarded the fiber findings, while I get bwoinked and warned for my "history of metagaming". Which... really? If I wanted to tryhard on every little lead I'd go on a LRP server, and in a prior round I specifically ahelped about the metashield behind an Agent ID to double check, given that it was generally agreed upon that the HoP did not change it themselves and it appeared as an Assistant ID... while belonging to a Botanist who was already known to have had a voice mask.
A warning seems too stringent for just a gal being understandably suspicious of an item she found in a locker where it shouldn't and wanting to know who left it there, after seeing a bit too many suspicious things going on.
