Reason for Ban: direct quote, "Validhunting, metagaming, arguing in the ahelps"
What lead up to the ban: A ninja showed up, got called out by Command through announcements. While walking around I stumbled across a Security Officer who then also bumped into the ninja, fired a few disabler rounds, then got stunned. In the spur of the moment, I decided to try to continue the chase since he would undoubtedly go for research (and admittedly maybe set the guy on fire since I had a bottle of welding fuel in my backpack), though the ninja eventually shook me off since he was significantly faster than me.
Queer took issue with this, somehow designating it as validhunting and metagaming on top of me arguing with them over server Rule 7, "be a believable, if not normal person".
Why you should be unbanned: First of all, the metagaming charge has no weight; ninja's not mentioned in the current metashield at all. Simple as.
Validhunting has some spice, certainly, but you can't say that some people, when faced with their shift-long hard work getting deleted, wouldn't respond with extreme violence. And in my case, the complete lack of anything to do, even repairing borgs or putting modules (because Science, for some reason, entirely focused on experimental last I checked??), can sometimes make the adrenaline spike override rationality.
And the arguing... look, I explained just about everything in the ahelps like I did here, and Queer still slapped me with a week-long game ban. That's just some plain-old bullshit, and it's not the only time they've done it; slapped me in a prior round with a 12 hour ban because I (as a Captain in that round) was baffled at the sheer lack of communication a late-join QM did when asked to do a bloodtest during a known changeling round and instead ran off to do shipments, leading to a whole other mess that led to him dying and then being left to nearly rot because Security also messed up, and resulting in Queer slapping me post-round in OOC without even giving room to ask why.
