Reason for Remark: "Stunlocked a ninja to death at CC. Warned for EORG"
What lead up to the remark: Late-joined as chaplin, chose the magic fist from the null rod. Shortly afterwards, evac arrived and I boarded. When I arrived at centcom, I noticed a Ninja just standing around, so I attacked them.
Why you should be unremarked: I actually don't really mind the warning all that much, but I do want to push my point I made in the a-help with the admin I was speaking to (bloodslayer122 (?)) that the rules didn't really seem to cover this situation. During the discussion with the admin, they had said (I am paraphrasing) "This specific situation counts as EORG even if its not written down in rule 13".
As written it states that "Players must act as they would before the round end summary would pop up" and "antagonists should not continue antagonistic actions when the shuttle arrives at centcom". To me, the situation of a ninja just left out in the open at Centcom, free to move about when they are otherwise a hostile agent, doesn't really make much sense in an IC context. I contend that my character was acting as they would have before the round end summary i.e. they attacked an entity hostile to Nanotrasen. To me, calling it "EORG" implies an invalid application of violence, when at any point during the round a similar situation would have occurred.
In regards to the discussion, I was fine with the ruling, but explained that perhaps if no hostile action whatsoever should occur, even for otherwise hostile entities, when arriving at CentComm, that it should be written explicitly out in Rule 13. I don't necessarily think its fair to enforce unwritten elements of the rules, especially when a new player reading through the rules could easily come to the same conclusion that I made.
As I also stated in the a-help, I may also just be missing a more detailed explanation of the rules somewhere. But this interpretation is based on what is written in the in-game server rules window. I don't care if I have to keep the warning or whatever, but I do think this rule should be refined a little to prevent similar misunderstandings from occurring in the future.
Edit: If any of this comes across as hostile or passive aggressive, that was not intended.
