Your SS14 Username: Mudsson
Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
In ss14 I mostly play Evan Mud, primarily out of attatchment to an old name that I used with a family member on other games. I don't really make multiple characters with multiple personalities, so the example of personality I use as Evan varies depending on what I am as a job. To give an example though I played a character called Jay in DnD, who was a total sucker that fell for a scam for an adventurers license. He had crippiling self doubt over being a sorcerer and wanted to prove that he worked hard to be where he was instead of just being powerful naturally. Because of this when confronted with undeniable evidence he had been suckerd, he just mentally blocked the idea because at the very least he had a job and did it well, so it cant have all been luck right? When it became apparent that my "employers" who I sent money were full of crap I simply said, "Oh my god, I've not been keeping up MY end of the bargain!" and doubled down giving away more money.
What made you join Funky Station?:
(This didn't say briefly describe) I've played space station 14 far more than any human should. I started in the early 2020's, I dont remember exactly when, my earliest memories being of an unnamed map, Knightship, printing batons in sciences, harm and stun baton and the "base rd point structure". I had an insatiable appetite to learn everything there was to know about this fun little sandbox, though at the time I didnt understand the roleplay aspect and made some very embarrasing memories. Eventaully I learned everything there was to know. So I turned to learning things like combat, throwing myself as antag at the station and at antags as crew until I could probably come out on top of any fight I went into. After this I had literally nothing, and there still weren't many forks other than WizDen. I had some bad experiences and took a break, eventually coming back with a new appetite for roleplay. If I knew literally everything there was to then talking to people in the interesting situations was the only thing left. So after like too many hours I joined Salamander MRP. It was more fun to talk to people and pull off things when people felt more like people. But later, today, I had a really nasty experience with MRP and wanted to find more content and a better roleplaying environment so I could get better with more content and with roleplaying. I've always been adverse to forks because I didn't want to leave my comfort zone but this station seems really interesting.
Tl;Dr better roleplay and more content. I'm rusty with both, and want new experiences.
