Lotash is nothing but a dumb-looking reptilian with Heterochromia.
He had suffered an accident during one of the shifts when he was using roller skates around the station and unfortunately ended up hitting a wall.
The impact ended up breaking his snout bones. Which unfortunately resulted in his vocal cords being gone from the accident, so he is now a muted lizard.
Scars could be seen around his snout. He had recovered from his injuries. But his vocal cords are still gone.
