Yeah! I don't often "lock in" specific traits or backstories since a lot of what i've been playing lately has been trying out various jobs/roles. So i'll come up with a general idea for the character's current itteration in the lobby or before late-joining.
But the latest would be a lizard-folk woman by the name "They-Who-Hiss." Joining the round, they were going to be a wanna-be hotshot lawyer who wanted to be cutthroat in court. They didn't care about real justice but how they could look good in the system.
Then. They rolled Thief two seconds after getting to their office.
They-Who-Hiss had taken painstaking detail in forging that license to be permitted as legal attorney aboard the space station. Nanotrasen's Prison may have injected her with their foolish attempts to "pacify" her greed but, she was more than brawn and muscle. She could be silver-tongued and manipulative without having to beat people up like she much enjoyed in her past.
In this itteration, They-Who-Hiss is a reckless yet sly thief who cares less about satisfing her greed but fulfilling the thrill that comes with the act of breaking into places and taking things thought secure. They had spent sone time in prison for a multitude of.. alleged thefts and assaults. They never found the missing items but there was enough evidence to convict her of the assaults. They pacified her by injection and locked her up, where she spent time honing her talents in other areas and building a network of.. not so law-abiding fellows.
When she was released, she had not learned to be a better person. She had learned to be a better and more resourceful criminal. She took a procedure to implant pockets on her body to hide items and acquired an outfit of clothes weaved with Chameleon fibers that she would control with a bit of focus and thought with a chip implanted just below her nape.
In this timeline of events, she would fail her objectives and be killed by sec dragging her body off an emergency pod after a shift of utter chaos.
