Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Ira Faris — In a world where a nuclear cataclysm towards the end of the 1900’s transformed Earth’s surface into a hostile wasteland, Irene’s grandparents were only middle-class workers who had managed to pour all of their life savings into a bunker in Nashville, TN, to ensure the future of their only son, Imran, who would go on to become an operative for the Bunker and later on father Ira. Known as Irene to others in the Bunker, she was a quiet, introverted girl who loved reading books, hated excess noise and was easy to scare. Despite her social ineptness, she was blessed with intelligence and smarts, enabling her to learn around five languages as well as skills that would enable her to assist the everyday duties of the Bunker, perform research and survive on the surface. Her father trained her in basics martial arts and lockpicking, too. Eventually she underwent medical training to become a doctor. Once while out at her post in a wasteland settlement, she received a distress signal from her bunker. She returned to find it taken over by heavily armed bandits. After freeing and rendezvousing with her father and the Bunker’s Overseer, they managed to launch a counterattack with other residents of the Bunker which ended up damaging the life-supporting systems of the Bunker and causing hazardous radiation leakage. The Overseer activated the self-destruction sequence to enclose the bandit group in a concrete tomb. Despite escaping with her family, they succumbed to severe radiation poisoning later on at a settlement. Distraught, she buried them and headed north towards Kentucky, where she had heard rumors of a new settlement in hopes of getting a fresh start.
