Floella McCune is a harpy medical doctor from a remote island settlement whose family maintained a lighthouse and maritime rescue station for generations. Growing up surrounded by sailors and their stories of shipwrecks gave him an early fascination with the sea and those who braved it.
That fascination took a darker turn after much of his family was lost in a mysterious storm. The bodies were never recovered, and he never learned what happened. Faced with a loss that offered no answers or closure, Floella found himself grappling with grief, fear, and uncertainty long after the storm had passed. In trying to understand his own feelings, he became increasingly interested in how other people endured their own tragedies and continued moving forward. That interest eventually led him to medicine, which he came to see as a way of helping others through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

actual answer, i've played ss13 for years (rip yogs 
) as well as ss14 for a bit (mainly on omustation) and i've wanted something new-feeling to mix things up. that, in addition to omu consistently being 85/85 on pelican and 0/85 on everything else makes it a little hard to play.
looking around on both the wiki and some posts on social media about this server made me really interested in it, both community-wise and codebase-wise.
