Reason for Ban: NITRP (staying on bridge, not RPing with others)
What lead up to the ban: The shift started with ZERO engineering, so I had to start up AME and then have an aneryusm over how people refused to step up to engineering despite two annoucements.
And then within the span of ten minutes we had, in order, a blob (which was dealt with very quickly but still), then an agent going loud with firearms in cargo, and then more sleeper agents getting activated.
A minor explosion in my office happened which I never got an answer for, and eventually while waiting on bridge for a status report AI informs me that my room is bolted open. I check the doors, they're access hacked, so I let the rest of Command know then head to HOP to grab their access config, which they give quickly and wordlessly. Fix my doors, and then Salphhie decides to bonk me with the ban over that incident and apparently several more.
In the middle of a second blob that eventually got big enough to require nuking.
Why you should be unbanned: I did not spend nearly 6 months agonising over whether to appeal my previous perma just to get slapped with another one because I got exhausted enough over the course of a busy shift to be mostly acting on instinct, trying to save mental bandwidth, but not tired enough to actively want/need to cryo. Plus, while I do not know what other incidents you guys logged, the HOP knew what was up when I walked in and gave it without a word, that's permission right there and there's plenty of reasons why IC one could do so.
I also haven't really played any of the servers Funky accepts vouchers from, as Funky is just the right size for me where there's plenty of action without being overwhelmingly complex or large unlike Starlight (350 player cap on their high-pop server and their "low-pop" is 65 player, genuinely wtf), nor is it overtly singular like RMC (which I have played like two games of and immediately disliked, it's good to watch but not so fun to play in the moment with how rigid the focus on military operations is). Harmony doesn't even show up on the server browser so I don't know what's with it. I'm not starting from scratch, with all that separate new lore, mechanics, and communities, in any of those (especially when I have trouble separating other servers' mechanics out of a very slow familiarizing process) just because one admin decided a more passive playstyle is not interacting with RP enough.
Besides, in my mind a Captain is someone who doesn't typically roam the station and stays in secure areas due to their sheer importance, especially with their AA and multiple station-critical items like the nuke disk. If they have to handle something personally that isn't a request from other Command they have bigger, potentially station-ending problems to worry about than just keeping their gear safe.
