As of writing this request, my main and only SS14 character is Jay Greene. Their currently occupied position is Engineering:Atmos , with them being able to stand in as Engineering:StationEngie and R&D:Scientist (based on character career trackers from WizDen Lev, Goob α).
Jay Greene is a human willing to learn new skills and acquire knowledge on both their trade and other jobs. Whenever possible, Jay enjoys experimenting with known methods, tweaking them in order to further their understanding of said methods; Furthermore, they are willing to test new ideas based on previously acquired knowledge, other previous experiments and suggestions of their superiors and co-workers.
Jay themselves are a positively-inclined bloke with a way of speaking being a blend of cultures from around the British Isles, rather more blue-collar than posh. They do their best to stay positive about a given situation, though if they set their focus on some project they like, Jay might forget to check the radio chatter for some station-wide gossip or screams for help.
My motivation to join Funky is the enjoyment of the base game [WizDen Lev] and additional content [Goob α] but dissatisfaction of a job or project being halted or made impossible due to some chaos that started somewhere else on the station (Xenos, Bingles, Antags, etc. [Goob α]).
Based on sources like SS14 Discord, Goob Discord, Youtube, et al. I hope to have as much fun on Funky as on Goob, but with less chaos getting in the way of character-to-character interactions or department-wide projects (TEG overhaul, Gas Synthesis setups, etc.).
