Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): One of my characters from a running game of Scum and Villainy is a spaceship engine mechanic in her mid 60's named Ceres. She chain smokes like a chimney, seems to have "contacts" in every port (mostly jilted exes or folks she owes money to), and has built up a resistance to pretty much every notable narcotic at this point. Her role on the crew is to yell at the youngn's that are out there playing space cowboy, fix up the holes that inevitably get blown into our ship, and fall asleep smoking in the engine room hammock. She also takes care of the team pet, a giant terrestrial isopod named Potato that she won in a bet the better part of a decade ago.
The most recent escapade was a job to break someone out of a jail on a water planet, she was able to splice the door just fine, but she's a lousy shot. So, when the team got made and the jailers started to close in, she figured that any machine is a smoke machine if you operate it badly enough and cooked off her heavy blaster ammo packs. The acrid smoke gave just enough cover for her to slip away and back to her hammock with a "Ceres boilermaker", which is 5mg of lorazepam and a bottle of no-name pinot grigio.
What made you join Funky Station?: I was previously whitelisted and in good standing, but took a bit of a break and did not link up accounts. But Funky is a great server, I greatly appreciate the players, vibes, sprite work, and expanded content compared to vanilla servers.
