Reason for Warning: Sexual Content

What lead up to the warning:
Before noting anything, this happened on 6/14 at 5:34:46 in the morning. I believe this was almost a two-hour shift, if I’m not wrong, I was dead-tired but wanted to finish the shift with the accolades of turning the station to the Honkmother. I also tend to speed-type (without a second thought) while playing my character. I was playing as a Clown, though I cannot remember who the other person specifically was. Due to lack of sleep, I remember them responding very hostilely toward my character, which is natural as clown shifts go. I retorted with, “You’re totally into me,” in a childish manner because I thought that was how my clown character would respond. Then, when they replied that they did not roll that way, I quickly typed “ew” in response, then portaled away. I did not intend it in the way it may have come across. I did try to apologize in common afterwards, but I guess it never really connected or hit the mark.

Why it should be removed:
It was honestly all a "spur-of-the-moment" thing. I know it was inexcusable, but I was speed typing, and it was 5 in the morning. I just wanted to see the end of the shift alive. I understand the 'ew' part warranting concern, but as for the sexual content aspect, it was a childish joke meant to be light-hearted from a goofy clown, not to be interpreted as anything else. I apologize to the Salvage Crewmate who felt uncomfortable about what I said.

I have had some amazing admin interactions beforehand through the prayer action, from stealing shoes and ritually burning them at the Chapel, to receiving special Honkmother soap and an altar, and eventually turning the station Honkmother-affiliated. I would hate for one poorly-worded, spur-of-the-moment response to overshadow those experiences.

Hi,
The admin team are in full agreement to deny this appeal for the following reasons:

  • It is just a warning not to do it again, for a first offense.

  • By your own ackowledgement, the comment crossed a line, and we believe the warning was fair.

  • Notes are an important way for admins to be able to notice any repeated rulebreaks that are cause for concern, and unless the warning is deemed to be unfairly issued for the offense, we do not tend to remove them.

As long as you take it to heart and don't repeat it, a warning note will not cause any issues at all for you. Please do take care of your health and don't play at 4 am though. It does not tend to cause a good roleplaying experience for anyone, including yourself. ;)
