In DnD I usually like playing morally grey dwarves and duergar. That comes mainly from my deep love of dwarf fortress. Often I will take dwarves from my DF games and turn them into characters other games.
So, for example, I have a dwarf rn on another SS14 server called Lorbam based off of a DF dwarf of the same name. This dwarf is a hardass but is a total coward when it comes to actual confrontation. He will do all this posturing and then when confronted with a situation where he could get hurt he will totally crap out. So of course he is a Sec officer.
