Event Idea- Nanotrasen Inspection
the gimmick is that a CC inspector (played by an admin or very trusted player) is accompanied by ERT bodyguards and must thoroughly inspect the station for anything that reflects even slightly poorly on the company or violates SOP as a group of traitors plots to assassinate the inspector.
how it works:
-shift start: CC sends an announcement along the lines of "Congratulations! Today is the annual inspection of your station! A Centcom Inspector is currently in transit to your station.", all traitors are given the same objective of killing the inspector and slightly more TC than normal, no other major antagonists are to spawn.
-prep phase: the CCI is given equipment which includes at least a captain sabre and at most a captain sabre, [green] captain carapace (or equivalent armor), and sidearm of their choice (antique las pistol or N1984 with spare ammo/mags). the ERT bodyguards have normal ERT gear and along with the CCI match the number of traitors with a limit of 4 total CC personnel. the station is given 30 minutes to prepare for the inspector and the traitors are encouraged to work together.
-inspection: the CCI thoroughly inspects the entire station for anything the company disapproves of, this is the window for the traitors to act.
-two paths: if the CCI survives the inspection without anything bad happening the station is given a pay raise and some sort of reward. if the CCI is killed then either of these happen depending on admin preference:
-CC announces that command and security are fired due to incompetence along with the entire station's pay being cut, the crew are encouraged to rid the station of the fired individuals for bonuses (the intent is for a civil war type scenario to break out.)
-CC announces that the entire crew is fired because of the CCI's death and code epsilon is called. the round essentially becomes a game of hide and seek with much more violence than normal (the deathsquad is notably NOT ordered to arm the nuke, they want the station itself intact, the intent is that the crew do whatever they can to survive until the deathsquad leaves either on evac or when they figure there's no one left, the focus is NOT on fighting the deathsquad)
issues i can think of:
-may require minor editing of some textures for the CCI (ex: making cap carapace green)
-relies on the ability of the traitors for anything major to happen
-the inspection could be kind of boring for general crew members
