Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
In terms of directly roleplay, the character I most enjoy is Lasiria. She's a Pathfinder 2e Kineticist who, well, tends to be the party's mom. With medical training, as well as control over Earth and Fire, she generally tries to keep everyone in good health, both mentally and physically, though the former tends to be harder. Tends to solve a lot of problems with her powers, sometimes subtly, sometimes not, and has something of a megalomaniac streak when it comes to construction.
In terms of characters I have written, it would be Sapphiria. She's the protagonist of my second published novel series, and is an Artificial Intelligence (albeit one born from digitalized human thought-patterns) that has...well, an interesting set of biases. She's a naval officer who strongly believes that humans -which she calls 'squishies'- should be kept as far away from the frontlines as possible, in part to protect them but also because she is, on a fundamental level, absolutely terrified of humanity's prowess in warfare.
Her opinions and views evolve throughout the series as she crashlands on a fantasy world and is forced to compromise on her tenets as well as work closely with a human settlement she encounters, in orders to save them from an undead army.
What made you join Funky Station?:
The person who got me into Space Station 14 (I had played 13 last a decade or so ago but though I did have the 14 playtest I never really launched a shift) talked about Funky, so I decided to take a look.
I really much prefer RP oriented servers (I am sick and tired of the grey tide constantly breaking into everywhere to steal all the equipment, and everyone being geared up for war five minutes into round start), and the one I otherwise play on, Carpmosia, tends to have a very low population when I'm available to play. And while that can be fun, holding down the fort alone as a chemist in medical isn't very fun a lot of the time.
