Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):

One character I played for a good while was on a space station 13 server a while ago. Kitaki was a Teshari (space raptors) raised mostly under the care of medical staff as they were born with a slew of medical complications that would follow them for the rest of their life. Through their upbringing, the care of the staff of the medical facility, and a certain desire for autonomy, they learned quite well how to take care of their own needs, leading to them getting very invested in the medical field. They went on to pursue a career in medicine, hoping to pass down some of the care they received in their youth. They had a generally timid, but outgoing personality, though would quickly grow quite stern and serious during more tense moments, leading them to sometimes snap at others when they were under pressure.

Kitaki was a fun character to play thanks to the challenges of stacking so many negative 'quirks' on them, there were plenty of things to work around and compensate for, and to address in roleplay. Kitaki also tended to contrast the medical culture of the server I was playing on, with more mannered and caring bedside manner than was usually seen, I preferred to 'drag out' the process of getting treated in medical, unless the medbay was swarmed (crisis scenario) or the patient was obviously just not interested.

What made you join Funky Station?: I'm a friend of a player on this server and I've heard good things! I've been mostly floating on SS14 and this place sounds like somewhere I might like to settle in.
