For the backstory, i think of it like this: He's not the original version of himself, his original self discovered a corporate secret and fled NT's grasp.

For personality: Very lighthearted, if medbay has no one to treat, he'll usually be up to misceallenious harmless mischief, but he's quite naive.

Probably my favourite interaction, is one shift as a new chemist, he got entirely replaced by a random monkey, and it gave him angst.
