Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
A DnD character of mine, 'Seloria Finale' is a Satyr Warlock with an Archfey patron. She comes from a large Satyr community deep in the arcane forests of the feywild. Like those of her kind she enjoys her fair share of pleasure and revelry. Spending her days drinking wine, partying and playing her trusty trumpet. Often competing in a yearly music competition to play said trumpet. The last year that she attended she was approached by a mystical figure more commonly known as the Masque of Revelry, born from legend of a bard so great that he transcended to Archfeydom, this figure promised her great power, to be the best musician of her generation with only one condition- To never give up performing. Seloria was frightened but couldn't help but agree to the terms set out by The Masque, the promise of greatness was too overwhelming for her to say no. Eventually her own arrogance, her own sureness that she in fact was the greatest performer of her time drove her away from her own friends and family. She left the feywild to set out on her own adventures- to prove to everyone that what she thought of herself was true and to gather more adoring attention for her patron to feed from. She travels with Ming- A human wizard, Podrick- A Firbolg druid and Taro- A Tabaxi monk as the four adventure through the astral plane, working under a powerful but cognitively questionable wizard, fighting monsters, scoring bounties and of course, saving the realms from utter destruction.
What made you join Funky Station?:
I have quite recently gotten into SS14 and have had a grand time playing different roles and learning mechanics, etiquette and such but I find that during my playtime I've really craved more of a roleplay-forward experience. I am aware that the game can be rather goofy and chaotic at times but when those interactions are somewhat forced instead of naturally occurring it really takes me out of the experience. I personally just really enjoy roleplaying, have a lot of experience doing so with other games and I feel like this game has a lot more potential for me to enjoy it If I joined more of a RP-Oriented server!
