Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
I have a Kobold on DND I'm currently playing that is a delusional forge cleric serving what he believes to be a dragon goddess of war. He is on a quest to forge a legendary piece of equipment to present to her as an offering in hopes of getting ascended to a true dragon. He's a cowardly perfectionist that used to be one of his warren's most ingenious tinkerers, until what he and his peers believed to be a cursed mark physically manifested on his face as a tattoo (which was instead a mark of his draconic sorcery heritage). This caused him to be kicked out and forced to find a new means to survive, which to his desperation ended up being a mercenary company that was taking anyone in. His tinkering skills combined with his relentless begging earned him a spot as the disciple of one of the company's artisans, until he was forced to participate in missions himself.
He often tries to play the guardian persona as he believes to be able to serve as a protector through his tinkered gear and solid blacksmithing skills, despite believing the front lines to be the one place he wishes to stay as far away as possible from. To his dismay, this act often coerces him to make or follow decisions that he personally considers insane or rash. His companions often support these bad choices despite his vehement opposition, which force him to go along with them. Even so, he secretly likes not having to think too much of what to do, since he often preferred to follow the collective opinion in the warren. Other than that, he is a very curious character that likes to act above his station. He is obsessed with collecting junk and trinkets that he uses to "decorate" his gear with. He also gets really obnoxious when it comes to doing anything related to gear, as he likes to flaunt his skills. He's also borderline fanatical regarding other lizards, as he believes that the bigger they look the closer they are to being a true dragon.
I tend to roleplay characters that fit the theme of the campaign/community, some tend to have eccentric personalities, or have a certain bit going for them, but I mostly aim to play something entertaining that fits in the general vibe of the community.
What made you join Funky Station?: Wanted to try the game out as I enjoy roleplaying and this community was recommended by a friend of mine that had previously played SS13 and SS14.
