Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): Richard Slater is a middle aged man thrilled by the aspects of space where he wishes to get a job working among the stars. Although pressured by his parents to live up to something more, Richard Slaters passion lies through a consistent job surrounded by good people where he can live his quiet but enjoyable life. Richard Slater sees himself as simple and not too outgoing, but is often empathetic and helpful to those who truly need it.
What made you join Funky Station?: I have loved the game Space Station 14 for a few months and have put a respectable amount of hours into the game. What I love most about the game is the ability to switch between semi serious and light hearted roleplay often, as well as varying amounts of serious gameplay. I am interested in this server because I have seen videos of people playing on it which have shown me that it has the consistent medium roleplay feeling that I have not seen very frequently in other servers, making it a very good alternative and something I feel like I will revisit often.
