Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): My favorite character was on DnD. Phlorian Alabaster, chief meister of Goosedom. We were tasked by the DM to create a goose-adjacent character for a one shot and instead of making some simple story about how they killed my family or salted my lands I chose to develop a longer more involved backstory. Essentially I had a complex relationships with geese, as my cousin who had ascended to the throne and never cared much about me chose to make me Meister of Geese. This relegated me to mundane and involved management of the kings geese. While sworn to uphold and protect goosedom it also made me secretly resent them and allowed much better RP to happen in the group I was in, whom all chose various simple reasons to want to murder the geese in the story.
For Space Station, I generally choose a somewhat plucky guy trying his best to get better at his job (not unlike me in real life). I use this character strategy to learn roles. When I want to have pure RP fun I would for example choose a boxer passenger that drags the reporter into his bit and goes around lightly challenging folks to fisticuffs and then purposefully lose so I can do a lot of funny talking.
Once I get very comfortable in my robusticity surrounding roles I'd like to expand into more themed Sci-Fi bits maybe taking inspiration from Star Trek or Dune. I just want to make sure I don't step on anyone's feet or ruin anyone's round.

Honestly, I stumbled back into SpaceStation14 youtube and found AcornANut who did a long comparison of various servers. He recommended you guys! I want to have a slightly more rigid RP framework and a community that cares about the game. I too wouldnt mind grabbing clips of my own matches to share on TikTok, where I've never seen any Space Station content. I truly enjoy this game as the players on it have very good ideas about RP and I like to sharpen my skills for other RP things I do.
