Reason for Ban: "Was carrying and using a CR20."

What lead up to the ban: (It should be "led," not "lead," lmao) I late-joined a nukies round in progress. By the time I reach sec, we are notified that the Nukies are dead; HOWEVER

The zombies they made ARE VERY ALIVE STILL. I initially use a shotgun but as the sec lathe was fully dry and my only options were buckshot or buckshot, this was VERY INEFFECTIVE (as I like semi-auto slow shooting and not emptying 30 holes into every tider in the hallway rushing the zed with a welder.) I also had 4 shells remaining, and again, SEC LATHE DRY, so once those were out and my gun was empty, I was done.

I had joined late, so the armory was already looted by tiders. All I saw was a CR20. This was about 7-8 minutes after all the nukies were dead, but the zeds were still very much alive.

Great, I thought, Nukies (a station-ending threat) left zeds (a station-ending threat) and a gun I can use more effectively. Bonus, there were mags and 35 auto incend printed, so I would not be relying on just a few shots. I took the gun and never shot it a single time, but I did hit someone with it one time to make them leave the armory after telling them verbally many times that HOS ordered it.

Why you should be unbanned:

I did not know that Zeds were not a station-ending threat. In the past when I Ahelped, my impression is they were. It was also a threat caused by Nukies, a station-ending threat. In the future, I would not do this again, but I feel like I made a very reasonable decision that, according to every rule I had read, was perfectly fine to do.

My intent was never to powergame, and the wording of the comment makes it sound much more ill-intended than it really was.

I have read through the discussion the admin team had regarding this appeal, and will be accepting it and removing the note from your record.
The zombie situation was already mostly under control, but we can recognize that players don't always have all the information that admins do, especially if you late joined to an empty armory. Do however still try to avoid using contraband gear in the future if you have other options.
