Character background:
Hazel was a planet-raised farmer, who lived on a fauna-heavy planet filled to the brim with flatlands, rainforests, and rivers. Beautiful, bright green landscapes are all he's known, and his family took advantage of the environment around them by working as farmers. For about the majority of his life, him and his family processed plants to deliver to Nanotrasen to make a living.
Hazel's life was mundane. Quiet, tedious work, all which was mundane. He wanted more than to just travel the same, green environment. After living there for roughly over two decades of his life, he just.. Wanted more.
His family noticed. So you know what they did?
With some of their savings, everyone pitched in. His family gave him a chance at a life that he could find fulfilling. A life in the stars, deep within the cosmos where he can see new planets, work a potentially more interesting job, and meet people and species that he's never seen.
Hazel has found that the most of his enjoyment comes from serving people drinks, helping people ease themselves from the hijinks and shenanigans that happens on-board. The role of a senior bartender was practically easy to him!
While he has found a job that feels like he truly enjoys, he still feels like there's more to him to find.. So he continues to serve people flying through the cosmos. Just in the hopes to see something new in the vast emptiness.
He couldn't be any happier being on-board.
