Reason for Ban: OOC toxicity 3rd offense - Repeatedly complaining about security in ghost chat, even after told by admin to stop.

What lead up to the ban: I, on multiple occasions, have vented frustrations in the ghost chat when I shouldn’t have. These were typically out of having bottled-up feelings regarding certain aspects of the game and/or because of my own investment within a given round. This third offense was during a lowpop round on Roid iirc, and there were actions in-game done by sec characters that I observed as a ghost that had heavily irked me, part of this was due to similar comments about said behavior said in chat at that time, thought this is no excuse for my own behavior and how blatantly I spelled my disdain for the in-game actions, which led to me making rude comments about the Security role as a whole. As I’ve mentioned, I have a tendency to get really invested in a given round, and that paired with my general rejection sensitivity (which makes me feel much more strongly about negative things than most people should) has made me verbally lash out as a way to cope and find mutual feeling with others, though this is obviously a really shitty coping mechanism that I’m trying my best to beat out of my system.

Why you should be unbanned: I’ve done a lot of reflecting in the past weeks since I was dealt this ban, and a good deal of things in my own personal life have caused me to really stop and sort things out about myself. I genuinely love this community that my friend introduced me to, even if I haven’t been very vocal about it outside of RPing in the server, which I want to try and change. I want to work towards building confidence to approach Admins when I have issues with player actions and such, as that’s a big reason why I vented in chat- because I was too scared to do that. I want to also put my foot down on how much time I spend playing, as that’s also a reason for my actions and how invested I get. Above everything, though, I want it to be known I’m genuinely really sorry for my words leading to my warnings and ban, I want everyone to have the best time on Funky as RPing as our silly little characters, and I promise to be much MUCH more careful about my words ooc in the future, and be more mindful of the players behind the characters they play.

In a vote of 11/0/1, the Admin team has decided to accept your appeal, as we believe you have taken the time to reflect on this before making an appeal on it--which we appreciate.

That being said, I want you to be aware that this was a third offense in something we warned you multiple times about. We are bringing you back with the idea that you will fix this behavior and be ready to take the steps to back away when you get heated. If this happens again, this will be an indefinite ban.

You are always welcome to make a ticket or ahelp at any time if things get to be too much, if you need advice, if you need help, etc. We are here to help you, but we cannot always know you need help until you let us know. Please use that resource--we will never be mad if you reach out. We can even offer grass bans if you need a couple hours or days off from the game to cool down. Whatever it is.
