How old are you?

  • I'm 18!

Have you read the requirements, and ensured you meet them?

  • I have read the requirements yes, and I do meet them.

How many hours do you have on Funky?

  • 530 Hours.

Have you helped with whitelists before, or played Nanotrasen Career Trainer on New Player Weekend? Please elaborate on which one.

  • I have not helped with whitelists.
  • I have occasionally played Nanotrasen Career Trainer, I do remember teaching a new warden everything I wished I was taught when I first played warden.

What tips you off that a player might be a good fit for Funky, if anything?

  • From my experiences, good traits of Funky players and therefore potential Funky players would be being able to get mad ic whilst keeping ooc and ic separate, willingness to try new things (esp with Forky coming and how funky is sorta dif from other servers in rules), and asking questions! ahelp culture is good here and ppl should be comfortable doing it!

Have you ever had an interesting or fun experience helping a new player? If so, tell us about it.

  • I have taught many new players, it is really fun trying to understand how they think and how our minds differ so I can adapt and teach it in a way where they get it... And that's really important because once I was trying to teach atmos to someone and they were really getting stuck on pipenets and kept just yelling "Pipenets" At me @,@ I was able to teach em later though, pff.

How do you like to teach interns or new players, if at all?

  • I first get a scope of what they know, and then start teaching them everything that I wish I knew when I first started out. What's really important is to see what clicks and what doesn't, to sort of understand how they think and teach according to that. Also examples where they do all the work is really important, a lot of learning is done when they are doing what I taught them without me standing beside them telling em how it works.
  • Also! Teaching people new to cults is something I've done frequently, most the time I end up being the pseudo leader of the cults too (mostly bcult). I just enjoy sharing knowledge.

What areas of the game would you say are your strong suit, if any?

  • I would say I am pretty good at interesting antag play, I always try and rp with my target and in good cases cause really good scenarios for RP, where it's fun even if I fail. And this extends to just escalating too even when I'm not an antag, It's really fun properly escalating scenarios ic and playin' em out.

What is your favorite department? Why is it your favorite department?

  • I love command roles & engineering. Command roles because it's fun being in charge, and knowing what's going on lets me work my department to make sure they are safe, or whatever might interest my character ic. It's also nice teaching interns as a command role, especially shift start. And, engineering is just my first love, it has a lot of interesting mechanics that I love and interact with. Engi and Atmos work is just, I love it.

Tell us a fun fact you know about the game. The more niche, the better.

  • When you mix a flashbang reaction in chem, it heats up whatever is in the beaker, so you can warm up your hot beaker without needing the hot plate. In case something happened to it, or you just don't want to use it.

Tell us about a roleplay moment you fondly remember.

  • The first time I ever had a really good hostage situation is when I took the NTR, (Love you Jin) hostage via gettin them high on frezon and holding a syndicat on them. I had them in engineering where I then had a really good play of events for me where I had a proper dual with the captain with his saber and my atmos axe, and I won and got to keep the nuke disk, which was my objective. I could of easily of just sent the cat after capt and took it off his crit body but this was so much more fun, being able to rp with the frezon high NTR, the secoffs questioning me and workin with me in the hostage situation, and bein able to duel capt, it was just really good all around.

Are you committed to keeping up with mechanics changes and learning them so you may teach new players, and presenting a friendly, helpful face in our community?

  • Oh of course! I'm really excited for Forky!! I gen can't wait to teach new folks the tips and tricks I find.

Are you willing to assist admins with whitelists by helping look over and pre-approve them?

  • You bet!
