I was recently permabanned with voucher, by, "emmawantsblahaj"
I would like to speak to them on why I was banned

(Funnily enough this was supposed to be my voucher server for traumastation)

hey! i'll break down every aspect of the ban reasoning as concisely as i can for you

1. Rule 7.

rule 7 (Play your Character) outlines that your character should value their life as if it were their real only one. by ashing yourself in the SM, you did not value your life. by the 20 minute mark, you had attempted to/successfully ashed somebody else and then ashed yourself when people investigated. NT would not hire people that would attempt to do this "as a funny gimmick" like you claimed, and so it violates rule 7.

• Rule 8.

Escalate situations according to context. this is in addition to the prior issue, as upon reviewing the logs, even if the roleplay was mutually agreed to be fun and/or funny, it doesn't meet our escalation standards and should not have happened in the first place. it might have been okay on another community, but it is not okay here.

• Rule 10.

Play antagonists responsibly. shortly after your being ashed, you took a Syndicate Spy Reinforcement ghost role, which specifies when you take it that you are a Team Antagonist with the person who summoned you. then, within a minute of being told both to be less suspicious and to steal the captain's jetpack, you prioritized your own objectives over your summoner's and killed a scientist. this got you caught, crit, revived, and arrested. following this, you were mindshielded, ratted your summoner out, and then continued to behave like a free agent at best, without making any attempt to reconnect with your summoner and complete their objectives.

this is what directly contributed to your ban. however, throughout our conversation in ahelp, a number of other things came up in both logs and conversation that lead me to believe you are not acting in good faith or, at the very least, that your pattern of LRP behaviour was not improving despite multiple admins' attempts to help you understand the sort of roleplay we want on funky. chief among these is the following exchange;

here is what was ACTUALLY said in the ticket on the topic of serial killer-esque gimmicks:

this isn't about character motivations, i think "NITRP" isn't always a good label. you can very well roleplay a serial killer turbomurderer who runs around stabbing people for no reason. that's great in other media like DnD or Pathfinder, but not SS14 (at least, not Funky).

and shortly later...

but every so often, an antag gets DAGD, which means they can do whatever the hell they want and cause as much damage as they want. this is one of the only conditions where this would be allowed, and pretty much anyone can get it. it's just uncommon.
