Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): Mire Venusian is someone who has a history of chasing fear, who experienced the devastating loss of most of her entire community in a catastrophic "construction accident", and is constantly torn between her obsession of that feeling, (via touching the old wound to intentionally relive it over and over), and her natural self-preservation and ideas of being able to potentially live a "normal" life, or if she'd even find herself liking that at all, if she even knows what it's supposed to be like. She was homeless for a long time, on a sort of long-haul motorcycle tour on her home planet, running away from the accident but also living in it every day. She doesn't allow herself to speak up, she acts meek and "out of it", mumbles frequently, but it is all on purpose because she doesn't like the idea of allowing herself to be anything more, out of a sense of a certain pervasive shame or indignity. This act may also be considered a crutch of sorts for her.
I have a small roster of usually about 3-4 characters I play at any given time, and I love pouring as much as I can into them.
What made you join Funky Station?: I've played a lot of SS14 on various other servers, The Den, Aurora's Song, Impstation, & Vermist Dust (a small Impstation fork). I've played my fair share of TTRPGs in the past, and I really like roleplaying, writing, and worldbuilding. I was only vaguely aware of funky station for a while but I think it'd be fun to check it out and see what it's like here!
