Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): I've really enjoyed being a sensationalist reporter, taking mundane situations (like science doing their job normally) and wondering what kind of evil experiments they are up to.

What made you join Funky Station?: A friend in my main discord has been talking about the upcoming concepts in FunkyStation (IE games not solely revolving around antags and having progression come from normal job to job interactions), as well as the higher level of roleplay that is inherent to the servers.

Could you please provide any amount more detail of your characters personality or backstory? Feel free to expand upon your previous character or use a different one, we are looking for around 3 to 4 good sentences of detail or memorable interactions and experiences! If nothing comes to mind you are free to improvise a character for the sake of the whitelist.

Of course! I'll keep using the character I discussed above as an example (Steven David).

Since reporters can push notifs to everyone's PDAs, I would send out bulletins and announcements based on things happening in the station. If it was something important like a nuke round, I would usually spend a little less time sensationalizing and more trying to interview people as they prepped to repel, put out updates on defenses being mounted and where, etc.

However, if it was a more "normal" round, I would exaggerate or play things up a little. If the security level was raised, I would put a report out saying that Security might be making moves to enact martial law, or that 'lings are being hidden from us, things like that. This has multiple times lead to standoffs with Security questioning me or outright arresting me for inciting panic, which was great fun.

I've also taken passengers under my wing to be my "in the field" reporters (of course, they were required to get a suit before they could report live in front of a camera) and making sure they know to take events/phrases/etc out of context to generate the most amount of buzz and controversy.

Think a tabloid journalist and all of the sensationalism that comes with it, and you have Steven David the reporter.
