Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): Deena Day is a 26 year old Cargo Technician that can come off blunt and occasionally assertive, but in reality she is often timid. Following a Medical Internship that fell apart, she has found her calling working as a Cargo Technician on one of Nanotrasen's space stations. While there, she has come to find the appeal in the repetitiveness of her job as the shuttle pilot and completing bounties for the station. Over time, she's come a long way in her underlying understanding of the station and how the different departments interact, especially during emergencies.
On one particular shift, there was a unique nuclear threat to the station.
Spoiler
It was right after an admin on WizDen had restarted the server due to performance issues and the server was hit with a "Let me try something
"
Deena, along with her coworkers, had turned the Station into fortress from the start of the shift following an immediate red alert and message directly from the Nuclear Operatives. Everyone was working together for the war effort as we prepared for the Nuclear threat. For her part, Deena was sent to Medbay to retrieve some healing duffel bags that Chemistry had synthesized and went to the ATS to pick up weapons requested by the Quartermaster. She would be appointed by the QM to work with the Science Department collaboratively to supply them with what they needed in order to supply the station with Speed Boots. That particular round ended in a spectacular display of teamwork, even despite the amount of times she fell into critical condition. She used her residual medical knowledge to stabilize co-workers and did her job as best she could. In the end the threat was defeated, and she was able to clock out.
What made you join Funky Station?: I have several friends that recommended Funky and I've been interested in non-vanilla servers for a few weeks now. I enjoy roleplaying in SS14, but have found vanilla or similar servers to be very hit or miss, thus Funky seems like a good fit for me.
