funky station

Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): Personally I really enjoy playing just chill worker characters or silly little "moral grey area" sorta archetype. Nothing that would be considered self antag-ing though! that's no fun.

What made you join Funky Station?: A friend told me about funky station and hearing about how nice and easy going the community is alongside just being helpful and kind people to somebody like me (I don't have very many hours in this game...) and because of that I thought it would be a great station to play when I do decide to play and just have a chill round or two.

Thanks for applying!

Could you please provide any amount more detail of your described characters personality or backstory? Feel free to expand upon these characters or use a different one, we are looking for around 3 to 4 good sentences of detail or memorable interactions and experiences! If nothing comes to mind you are free to improvise a character for the sake of the whitelist.

Thank you!

The character that I most often play on starlight is my moth fella Oscar Ochre, and the best way I could describe them is doing things out of their own interests but also in the interests of keeping their job.
One shift in particular is when Oscar was attempting to dabble into a little bit of science but that entire process got completely derailed after he and his friend Mallard, saw an exact copy of Mallard. Seeing that... they went back to work, thinking not a whole lot of it at the time and before they knew it, Oscar was standing in a pool of Mallard's blood as he desperately tried drag Mallard off to medical after beating the clone of Mallard with a crowbar. After getting to medical Oscar begged the staff to treat his friend before he dies, and so they started treating him, halfway through the treatment however, another clone came in with a drill to attempt to finish off what was left of Oscar's friend. Thankfully a security officer was there and arrested the clone. Oscar still thinks about that every single day, paranoia gripping him whenever he sees anything remotely similar to anyone he knows. Although Oscar is very deeply troubled by this and has a very strong sense of his self-preservation, he still fights through the unbearable knowledge that he could one day fall victim to an exact copy of himself to do his menial tasks and work to better the station. His favorite thing to do is go out mining and kill aliens and make the station rich! It takes his mind off of what could be out there, since to him, the only thing out there is the aliens and he's the one killing them.

I hope that clears everything up! ^^
