Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):

I have a background in SS13 playing a lot of Sci - particularly Goon Genetics, which SS14 doesn't have but it's made me comfortable with roles that are less second to second dynamic but offer a lot of crew interaction. I also do enjoy just messing with Artifacts in general as it can be a strong source of strife and/or goals that add to a shift without direct antagonist presence - even if minor.

I generally play Space Station as "Layla Hawkins", and have also spent a siginifcant amount of time in Cargo, just moving boxes and making people fill out paperwork for their items has always been a strong source of enjoyment.

Generally the only roles in Space Station I've ever avoided have been Heads of Department (except the QM), and anything in Engineering, that last one is mostly because I just never understood the role, and learning can often be quite hard, particularly on LRP servers where no one is willing to teach and a mistake in Engineering can be more serious than other departments.

What made you join Funky Station?:

I always enjoy Space Station with a more MRP ruleset - if nothing else knowing that Space Law is enforceable, that players will actually engage is a strong drive, but it means you can come up with a fun bit for a shift and people will play along! On LRP if you try to make people fill out paperwork they get mad and self antag and at the end of the day I want people to remember me as "Oh it's the paperwork girl from Cargo" or "It's the Scientist who is CRAZY about Artifacts".

Oh, before anyone comes in to review I guess I forgot to mention the character themselves outside their roles:

Layla is a by the books crew member. Big on paperwork, getting things stamped, making people wait in lines and being able to say "No" when a Head of Department asks for something unreasonable.

She can be found at the front desk of Cargo asking for stamps, forms and handing out pens, or in Sci, taking notes like "Intern caught fire when touching artifact, repeatable?"

When not working, she likes to hang out in the Bar, play instruments and generally try to keep the shift on track.
