Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):

To be honest I don't especially have "a character" but I have a particular love for playing any role that requires creating & filing significant amounts of paperwork. I especially love playing lawyer and making both clients & sec complete my forms. When I'm not being SS14 harvey specter i'm usually in med, I quite like playing chemist and mixing up all the batches.

I love playing roles with some "procedure" and then RPing around the procedure, that's probably why lawyer is my favourite. A particular favourite was arriving at medical and insisting that medical staff only treat patients with valid medical insurance (which I was travelling around distributing papers for)

What made you join Funky Station?:

I have some friends who play already who have given you glowing reviews. I need RP to enjoy the game, I just want somewhere to play where everyone else is on the same page. It helps a lot that you seem like a great and inclusive place to play too!

Hey there, unfortunately we are going to need a character example to whitelist you. You don't have to commit to playing this character, and it doesn't even have to be an SS14 character. You basically just have to show us you're capable of making up a character with some level of depth to them.

I don't really like D&D because I think D20 systems are awful but normally I DM the Star Wars TTRPG formats (Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion etc) so mostly creating the story narratives for others to enjoy, but I do rarely get a chance to play myself. Last character I played was Katsha Welstan, I was an ex-rebel fighter pilot, got out of the civil war because the fight was just too draining. The crew I was part of were all on the run from something, mine was that I was a deserter, threw the towel in after Hoth and just never went to the RV point after the ion cannons let the transports through. Now making money travelling the galaxy and taking whatever jobs we could find. I had a lot of fun playing the "fuck man, i just want a quiet life" character as the barbarian-coded clone trooper in our group used "gun" as solution to every problem

The SW TTRPG format doesn't lend itself especially well to ship-to-ship combat because it's hard in tabletop format to represent where everything is, so it relies a lot on the players grabbing the narrative and describing exactly what they want to do - so I had a lot of fun describing the most top-gun-rule-of-cool fighter maneouvers whenever we got into combat with some TIEs (or some rebels trying to track down a deserter...)

In SS14 - I touched on the "medical insurance" bit last post, but I have a lot of fun playing Peyton Pritchard (lawyer) and travelling around the station completing medical insurance forms for staff, being deliberately anally retentive about the form and lots of shoulder shrugging ("Hey, it's NT corporate policy, i'm just the messenger") when asked about it. Lots of fun when CMO participates and starts asking for medical insurance docs ahead of treatment haha. It's good fun being a stick-up-my-ass pencil pusher in this game!
