Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Lyam Solaris is a character that I have played constantly during my time in SS14. Best way to describe them, is as constant drifter of sorts. Never quite happy to settle entirely with just one singular thing, always hopping from one post to the other, not necessarily because they're bad at their job.. but rather, none of them have held his interest long enough to stick around for it on the long term.
Composed, a slight bit dry.. and maybe a bit too "easy-going" for their own good, they tend to be rather laissez-faire about things.
Stuck on janitor duty and someone just dumped dozens of liters of space lube on the Sci department? Guess I gotta go clean it.
Someone's asking for a ludicrous, perhaps even suspicious, amount of supplies in cargo, but they have all the stamps and paperwork they need? Someone mustv'a approved it, don't see anythin' wrong with it.
Zombie outbreak happening and patients turnin' left and right, while trying to keep things under control in medbay? We'll get through it, I'm sure.
And so they do what needs to be done, because it needs to be done. Nothing less, nothin' more.
What made you join Funky Station?:
Admittedly, I have been trying to rekindle my love for SS14 as of recently. I'm someone who has been aware of SS13 (and by that extension, SS14) for some time now, and while I do sincerely love the game and being part of it, I just haven't had the motivation to play it at all. Funky Station eventually popped up as one of the casual conversation topics I was having with a friend, and I figured that even though I haven't touched SS14 for some while now, that I still wanted to give it a try and do something beyond WizDen servers, which I have spent almost exclusively all my playtime on.
I want to try something new, and slightly different from the norm, in other words! And I think Funky Station does exactly juuuuuust that for me.
