Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Generally, I have no idea what I want to play from the get-go. But my last two long-term characters in stuff have been me simply building off of my first instinct; Throwing something on the wall, and seeing how the fungus grows out of it.
From around 2021-2023? The Boys was pretty big, and I happened to join an RP "supergroup" on City of Heroes: Homecoming based on the show. My terrible person was "Blood-Blood", a kind of lab-grown superhero with Wolverine-style regenerative abilities, and an inability to parse pain as painful. She had no worries in the whole entire world. Very giddy, very ditzy. And for the two years I played her she was completely mute and I only communicated through long winded emotes, like a mime. So she would suffer all these slapstick scenarios, and suffer very realistic consequences, but just bounce back from extreme fatalities. Severed arm, she would pick it up and wave at you with it. Everything above the waist vaporised? She'd be a pair of legs dancing around.
Currently here and there in Final Fantasy 14, I'm playing one Marcette Thierreguin Fourchemont. Who speaks with a lot of prose, wit and long windedness. To mask to herself and others the fact that she used to be a very rough and terrible criminal, before hiding that past and making a bid at knighthood - a paragon of virtue! That arc is over, mostly because that "knight's academy" RP venue exploded. But despite relapsing into a mercenary, she's still keeping that up.
They're both very different, I guess my point is to give the idea I've got range?

I haven't played SS13 in two or three years, and even then I too sporadically to really get into stuff. I've had like one "successful" antagonist round ever, and it was only so because my dumbass somehow tranquilised the captain and got them into the trash-grinder (Its ok, he was my target, I think?). Anyway I figured for dipping my toes back in I'd actually do the big switch and hit up SS14, and from what I've seen around the place, this is the place to be! I definetly did not look at a bunch of Minefino videos and see this place mentioned in the description. Nope.
Anyway I'm going to not even really know how to control my character properly, and I'll probably be rolling up a few different mfers until I probably settle for a- oh I don't know, a "creepy, but sweet" spider or something. I don't know what my options are, or how what I pick will evolve through play.
