Reason for de-whitelist: Overescalation as Security Cadet + threatening to Ahelp someone in LOOC/Help chat
What would you do differently in the future?: Since my de-whitelisting, I've had the opportunity to play on several other servers, primarily Byrd Station, Harmony and Wizden, which has allowed me to gain a better understanding of the game and what makes it enjoyable.
During my time away from the whitelist I've come to realize that the core of SS14 is interacting with others and immersing yourself in the setting. This is what makes the experience enjoyable for everyone, rather than treating the game purely as a sandbox.
Looking back, most of my bwoinks on Funky stemmed from taking the game too seriously and artificially escalating situations to maximize my chances of winning. This was also accompanied by occasional frustration in Help/Dead chat when other players called out my behaviour. I now understand that this kind of attitude is detrimental to the experience of everyone involved.
Going forward, I intend to prioritize communication above all else, while ensuring that my actions remain consistent with my character and the situations unfolding around them. I understand that SS14 is a collaborative experience and I want to contribute to an environment where everyone can enjoy themselves.
How many new-player-weekend rounds have you played since your dewhitelist?: None, unfortunately, as they're currently on hiatus and I was on a break from SS14 before today.
