Clearly the best modpack is medieval overhaul if we're talking sheer quality put into one modpack but alpha animals is fun especially when I get to watch the hatched feralisks beginning to eat each other and eventually their mother

I only recently got Rimworld but it's been treating me pretty well. Been having fun, got to late stage only yesterday and got my first set of recon armor made. Otherwise my only strong opinion is fuck drop pod raids.

Drop pod raids for me aren’t too difficult to deal with. The raids I despise are fucking NEANDERTHAL tribals. They are so resilient they will continue to fight even after both of their arms fall off and guns sometimes feel shit to use in rimworld

You should try Combat Extended. Totally changes the feel of the game. You can shred through tribal raids, with the right setup.

CE get's a lot of flak sometimes, but I think it's super manageable, and a lot of fun! It's compatible with most mods people use too.

CE gets slandered for no reason at all, it makes the combat WAY more fun.
