What lead up to the ban: AI called out that a Clown was fond of going into chapel maintenance, as a Detective I checked it out, found them in what was blatantly a hidden room that they refused to step out of. Problem was that it was Green alert and I failed to get a warrant for any searches.

There was a whole other thing with them also being a Syndicate Agent and HoS's bad handling of that, but I was told after the fact that the main thing that gave the ban was the whole "no warrant gained on Green" issue.

Why you should be unbanned: Hi, it's me. Appealing several months after the last appeal went up. So long in fact that I was unaware the old forums got archived until I came up here to appeal. And yes I am aware the above is copypasting from the prior appeal, it's been that long that I don't remember the details.

I've done some reflection over the past few months and, to be honest, overzealousness was a big fault of mine. Cripplingly bad, even; I will admit that looking back it makes me cringe, wonder how I thought that was in any way fun when all it did was make me an anxious mess, and wish the lesson didn't have to be driven into my skull with a banhammer. Especially since it is a roleplaying game, and also in regards to just assuming things about the alerts and such.

But I do really miss playing SS14, Funky's been the main server I've put most of my time in, haven't played any other servers since the ban even, and after this long I do feel like I'm ready to at least start over. Even if I have to do a lot of catchup with updates...

Thank you for your appeal. I will be transparent, this was a controversial one. While the vote was 12/0/3 for Accept/Deny/Other, the discussion around this appeal was not typical.

You, as a player, have a lot of notes and history. As a team, we are skeptical, but universally agree that this is one of the best appeals we've seen, and are willing to give you another chance.

Please know however that this appeal being accepted does not wipe your record clean. We will be watching, but look forwards to you showing us how you've approved. We welcome you back with open (and hopeful) arms

Trust me, having this weighing on me has been... very sobering. Not exactly something I want to repeat.
